The "Duomo", or "Cattedrale Santa Maria del Fiore"

Magnificient, multi-colored, and imposing, the dramatic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore deserves its status as one of the most iconic buildings in Italy. You can also climb Giotto’s bell tower, walk the stairs to the top of Brunelleschi’s dome, and visit the Baptistery.

The "Palazzo Vecchio"

A stop at Palazzo Vecchio is a must. This majestic palace has been the city's town hall for centuries, and it's one of the most iconic landmarks in all of Italy. The palace also has its own gallery of sculptures, the Loggia dei Lanzi.

The "Galleria dell accademia"

The Accademia Gallery is famous for its 15th and 16th-century artworks collection, and for Tuscan paintings from the thirteenth to the sixteenth century. You will also be able to view the works of Giotto, Paolo Uccello, and Andrea del Sarto; and of course Michelangelo’s David.

The "Battistero di San Giovanni"

The Baptistery of St. John, standing in front of the cathedral, is the ancient religious and civil centre of Florence, as well as a masterpiece of Italian Romanesque architecture. A splendid mosaic decoration, covers the entire vault, the apse, parts of the matroneum, its parapets and parts of the walls.

The "Ponte Vecchio"

The Ponte Vecchio, or Old Bridge, is Florence's most famous bridge. It' also Florence's oldest bridge, having been spared from the bombing in Florence during World War II.

The "Galleria degli uffizi"

The Gallery entirely occupies the first and second floors of the large building constructed between 1560 and 1580 and designed by Giorgio Vasari. It is famous worldwide for its outstanding collections of ancient sculptures and paintings (from the Middle Ages to the Modern period).

The "Palazzo Pitti" and the "Giardino di Boboli"

The Boboli Gardens are one of the greatest open-air museums in Florence that embraces another site of culture in Florence, the Pitti Palace.

The "Piazzale Michelangelo"

Piazzale Michelangelo is a large square situated on top of a hill just east of Florence's historic city center. The star attraction is the sweeping views from Piazzale Michelangelo over Florence. From this elevated terrace, you can take in a panorama of the whole city skyline.

The "Cappelle Medicee"

The Museum of the Cappelle Medicee consists of the funeral chapels of the Medici family at the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Florence, declared national monument and transformed into a state museum in 1869

Q+A

Where is the wedding?

The wedding will take place at Villa di Maiano in Fiesole, just outside of Florence. Transportation will be provided from the Regency hotel in Florence to the Villa on the day of the wedding, but is reachable by taxi or Uber from elsewhere in Florence.

What should I wear?

For women, we recommend long dresses, and men should wear either tuxedos or a suit, whichever is preferred.

(Ladies, we suggest choosing chic yet comfortable footwear—block heels or wedges will work best. The villa's historic grounds feature grassy lawns and uneven paths, making stilettos or high heels a bit of a challenge!)
